Marvin Lewis expected to have position on Las Vegas Raiders' staff, per report
Cincinnati Enquirer Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis is expected to be on head coach Antonio Pierce's Las Vegas Raiders staff in a more formal capacity since the Raiders announced Friday that they've removed Pierce's interim tag, according to a report Friday night via Twitter from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Pelissero added that Lewis helped Pierce after the Raiders made Pierce their interim head coach this past season. Pierce and Lewis shared defensive coordinator duties at Arizona State in 2020.
The Raiders hired Pierce as their linebackers coach in 2022. The Raiders are among eight opponents scheduled to visit Paycor Stadium during the 2024 season. The 65-year-old Lewis was the head coach in Cincinnati from 2003 until he and the Bengals parted ways at the conclusion of the 2018 season.
Thesundevils. com still lists Lewis as a special advisor to ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham. .
