Saints coach Dennis Allen says he doesn't plan to make changes to staff after Bucs loss
New Orleans Saints coach Dennis Allen said Monday that he has no plans to make changes to his coaching staff after Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael has faced increasing criticism for an offense that has failed to live up to expectations, but Allen indicated Monday that his job is safe for now. "We won’t make any coaching changes," Allen told the media Monday.
"I’ve never seen that to be the right answer, particularly when we’re four games in. And yet we have to be better. I understand everyone’s frustration because everyone in the building feels it.
" The Saints are 2-2 after beating the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers to start the season. The offense has gotten into the end zone just once over the last two weeks in losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers. Allen said that Carmichael is aware of the criticism, and he's "working hard to get it fixed.
" The Saints next play the New England Patriots on the road at noon Sunday. .
