What's the 2023 NFL season script? Funny ad has Ja’Marr Chase making 'no-handed catch'
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is among several star players in the NFL’s new ad campaign for the 2023 football season.
The funny spots, titled “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up,” play up the conspiracy theory and social media joke that the NFL season is scripted. Comedian and actor Keegan-Michael Key leads a table read of the script for the 104th NFL season, sitting among writers and several big-name players (or actors), including Chase, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Ramsey and Kirk Cousins.
In the ads, the script calls for Chase to make a “no-handed catch” in Week 1. He also suggests that he could ride a real Bengal tiger for his next touchdown celebration.
Who Dey nation might also agree with his reaction to someone proposing that they write “the Mahomes character” out of the script entirely.
The series of commercials also features University of Cincinnati alumni Travis and Jason Kelce (and their mom, Donna Kelce), plus DK Metcalf, Justin Fields and Dexter Lawrence.
