Indiana running back Jaylin Lucas named to Walter Camp Award preseason watch list
The Herald-Times BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football running back Jaylin Lucas made the preseason watch list for the Walter Camp Award on Friday that's given to the national player of the year. There were only 45 players to make the list that includes 38 offensive players (20 quarterbacks, 11 running backs, five receivers/tight ends and two offensive lineman) and seven defenders. It includes last year's winner USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who is looking to become only the fourth player in college football history to win the award twice.
Lucas was previously named to the preseason watch list for the Paul Hornung Award (most versatile player) and the Doak Walker Award (most outstanding running back).
