Defensive back leaves Arkansas football program during fall camp
Adding talent in the secondary through the transfer portal was a huge focus for the Arkansas football team this offseason, but one of the new arrivals is leaving after one full week of fall camp. A team spokesman confirmed Thursday night that AJ Brathwaite is no longer with the Razorbacks. The departure was first reported by Best of Arkansas Sports.

on Aug. 27, 2022 Brathwaite came to Fayetteville after spending five seasons at Western Kentucky. He committed to Florida International University before switching his allegiance to the Razorbacks in May.
The safety started in all 12 games during the 2021 season before battling injuries last season. This season was set to be his final year of eligibility. Brathwaite's departure is a hit to Arkansas' defensive back depth, but the Razorbacks were likely going in a different direction with their starting unit.
There are still important transfers in the secondary in Jaheim Singletary (Georgia), Alfahiym Walcott (Baylor), Lorando Johnson (Baylor) and Kee'Yon Stewart (TCU). .
