UCF secures commitment from 4-star Texas running back

m. UCF continues to build on one of its best recruiting classes in program history with the verbal commitment of Texas running back Frankie Arthur. Arthur, from Oak Ridge (Texas) High, is the 15th player to pledge to the Knights’ 2024 class.
All verbal commitments are non-binding but can become official during the early signing period in December. Arthur is the No. 111 overall player in the class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, and the fifth-best running back in the country.
His commitment late Monday night, along with that of Stacy Gage (23), gives UCF two top-25 running backs in their 2024 class. UCF football recruiting: DayDay Farmer flips from Pitt to Knights The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Arthur has offers from Baylor, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Oregon, TCU and Texas Tech but chose to commit to UCF. He’s the younger brother of former NFL standout Adrian Peterson.
Arthur rushed for 1,445 yards on 159 carries with 18 touchdowns as a junior with the War Eagles. UCF has the No. 36 overall recruiting class in the country and the third overall in the Big 12, according to 247Sports.
