Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Ahmmon Richards may have played his last game. Richards, who has been sidelined since Week 2, has a "disabling neck injury," Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reported Saturday night. While the team has yet to announce any news on Richards, the junior appeared to tip his hand with a pair of tweets on Saturday night. "Last time. Mixed emotions," Richards wrote before adding, "From the HEART I appreciate all of my fans" Richards appeared to injure his knee in the season opener against LSU. He has been reported as "day-to-day" with that injury. The team did not divulge when or how he sustained his neck injury. Richards reeled in 49 receptions for a team-leading 934 receiving yards and three touchdowns during his freshman year in 2016. His receiving total broke the school's record for a first-year player, topping the performance of Michael Irvin. He missed the first two games in 2017 because of a hamstring issue, then sustained a season-ending meniscus injury in late November. At the time of that latter injury, Richards was third on the Hurricanes in catches (24) receiving yards (439) and receiving touchdowns (three). Richards had one reception for nine yards prior to being injured against LSU.
