Cowboys QB Prescott has high hopes for offense

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott believes his offense will still be formidable despite no longer having wide receiver Dez Bryant and tight end Jason Witten. Bryant was released this offseason in a salary-cap move and Witten retired. They were the top two pass catchers on the team last year. Despite those losses, Prescott is not worried. "We're going to be an exciting team this year," Prescott told Showtime at a boxing event in Frisco, Texas on Saturday night. "A lot of new faces. I think you're going to find we have a lot of new guys on this team, within this organization, that can make plays. We plan on surprising a lot of people." The Cowboys added several wide receivers this offseason including Tavon Austin, Allen Hurns, Deonte Thompson and draft picks Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson. Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams return to the Cowboys' receiving corps. The Cowboys were 9-7 and missed the playoffs last year with Prescott throwing 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Prescott has thrown for 6,991 yards with 45 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in two seasons. He has also rushed for 639 yards and 12 scores on 114 carries.
