Colts make room for 10 undrafted free agent signings
The Indianapolis Colts signed 10 undrafted free agents on Tuesday. The signings were kicker Michael Badgley, safety Chris Cooper, cornerback Lashard Durr, wide receiver Steve Ishmael, cornerback Robert Jackson, defensive tackle Tomasi Laulile, linebacker Skai Moore, safety George Odum, linebacker William Ossai and cornerback Henre' Toliver. Also Tuesday, the Colts waived linebacker Jermaine Grace, running back Matt Jones, wide receiver Justice Liggins, nose tackle Joey Mbu, defensive end Arthur Miley and linebacker Darnell Sankey. The team also waived-injured defensive tackle Johnathan Calvin. If Calvin clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts' Injured Reserve List. Badgley played in 49 career games at the University of Miami. He converted 77-of-97 field goals (79.4 percent) and 172 PATs for 403 career points. Cooper appeared in 33 games at Stony Brook from 2015-17 and finished with 147 tackles (77 solo), 12.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, nine passes defensed, four interceptions and one fumble recovery. Durr played in 25 games (13 starts) in two seasons (2016-17) at Mississippi State and totaled 36 tackles (23 solo), half a tackle for loss, five passes defensed and one interception. Ishmael started 39-of-47 career games at Syracuse and compiled 219 receptions for 2,891 yards and 18 touchdowns. Jackson played in 22 games (eight starts) in two seasons (2016-17) at UNLV and finished with 52 tackles (29 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, half a sack and nine passes defensed. Laulile saw action in 33 games (three starts) at BYU from 2013-16 and totaled 47 tackles (28 solo), 10.0 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, one pass defensed, one interception, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown) and one blocked kick. Moore started 37-of-50 career games at South Carolina and compiled 353 tackles (213 solo), 20.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 20 passes defensed, 14 interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Odum played in 48 games (39 starts) at Central Arkansas at outside linebacker and defensive back. He totaled 350 tackles (223 solo), 29.0 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks. Ossai appeared in 48 games (22 starts) at San Jose State and finished with 169 tackles (95 solo), 17.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Toliver started 36-of-49 career games at Arkansas and compiled 161 tackles (118 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, 31 passes defensed, eight interceptions and one fumble recovery (returned for a touchdown).
