Colts add DE Nunez-Roches, waive LB Perry

The Indianapolis Colts picked up defensive end Rakeem Nunez-Roches off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs and waived outside linebacker Josh Perry on Friday. The 6-foot-2, 307-pound Nunez-Roches played in 34 career games, including 16 starts, and totaled 51 tackles, five tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in three seasons with the Chiefs. In one postseason game, Nunez-Roches added one tackle. Last season, Nunez-Roches started 11 of 16 games and finished with 24 tackles and half a sack. In 2016, he split time between the active roster and practice squad while registering 23 tackles, five tackles for loss and one sack for the Chiefs. Nunez-Roches was selected by Kansas City in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Southern Miss. Perry has played in 17 career games for the Colts and the San Diego Chargers. He had signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on Jan. 1 after spending time on their active roster and practice squad in 2017. Perry, a former Ohio State player, has 17 career tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and nine special teams tackles.
