Delgado, a San Diego native, has two seasons of eligibility remaining. He announced his commitment to the Jaguars via Twitter over the weekend: Excited to announce that I have committed to the University of South Alabama on a full ride scholarship. Thank you to all who have helped me out in the process. He redshirted in 2019, appeared in one game in 2021 and 13 in 2022 (he did not play in a game in 2020, but received an additional year of eligibility due to COVID). Delgado joins a South Alabama punting competition that will also include former Alabama transfer Jack Martin and true freshman Aleksi Pulkkinen, a native of Finland. Four-year starter Jack Brooks (who was also the Jaguars’ primary holder on field goals and extra points) announced last week he will not return for a fifth season of eligibility.
