2023 – Junior Season
Started all 13 games • Tallied 102 tackles, 5.5 TFL, four QB pressures, two forced fumbles, one interception and a PBU • Named third-team All-ACC • Finished seventh in the ACC in tackles (103) • One of seven players to record 100 or more tackles in the ACC • Recorded two double-digit tackle games (Virginia and West Virginia) • Tallied nine tackles four times (App State, Minnesota, Georgia Tech and Campbell)• Tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (2) • Opened the season with six tackles versus South Carolina • Made nine tackles, one TFL and a forced a fumble versus App State • Notched nine tackles and an INT against Minnesota • Had seven tackles, 1.5 TFL and a PBU at Pittsburgh • Added four tackles and pressure against Syracuse • posted five tackles and two pressures versus Miami • Tallied a season-high 12 tackles against Virginia • Posted nine tackles and a TFL at Georgia Tech • Had nine tackles and a TFL versus Campbell • Recorded seven tackles and a half TFL against Duke • Added six tackles at Clemson • Tallied eight tackles, a half TFL, a forced fumble and a PBU at NC State • Added 11 tackles in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl against West Virginia.

2022 – Sophomore Season
Started all 14 games at linebacker • Earned honorable mention All-ACC honors • Voted a team captain • Named the Don McCauley 'UNCommon' Award winner • Posted 103 tackles, including 70 solo stops, two sacks, five TFL, an INT, two PBU and a forced fumble • His 70 solo tackles ranked fifth in the Power 5 • Ranked fifth in the ACC in tackles • Recorded double-digit tackles in four games • Recorded a game-high 10 tackles against FAMU • Also had two TFL and a sack against the Rattlers • Had six tackles at App State and served as captain • Tallied 10 tackles at Georgia State • Posted 11 tackles, two hurries and a sack against Notre Dame • Added seven tackles against Virginia Tech • Registered a career-high 14 tackles and had a TFL and a hurry at Miami • Notched eight tackles at Duke • Posted four tackles, a breakup, a hurry and a half TFL against Pitt • Added four tackles at Virginia • Notched five tackles at Wake Forest • Recorded his first career forced fumble along with nine tackles against Georgia Tech • Made five tackles vs. NC State • Recorded five tackles in the ACC Championship game against Clemson • Made five stops and had an INT with a 40-yard return in the Holiday Bowl against Oregon.

2021 – True Freshman Season

Appeared in all 13 games at linebacker • Finished the season with 25 tackles, one TFL, one interception and one hurry • Had four tackles and one interception and returned it for 17 yards against Georgia State • Registered a season-high seven tackles and a hurry against Wake Forest • Had single-tackle games against Duke, Florida State, Wofford and NC State.

An early enrollee who is a four-star prospect listed as the nation’s 126th-best player, the No. 7 inside linebacker and the No. 7 player in North Carolina in the 247Sports Composite • Ranked as the nation’s 155th-best player, the No. 12 inside linebacker and the No. 10 player in the state according to Rivals • Tabbed as the nation’s 154th-best player, the No. 2 inside linebacker and the No. 8 player in the state according to ESPN • A member of the ESPN 300 • An SI All-America candidate prior to his senior season • Two-time Charlotte Observer Defensive Player of the Year • A two-time all-state selection • Amassed 389 tackles, 28 sacks, 57 TFL and 11 forced fumbles over his three-year prep career • Named to the Butkus Award watch list prior to his senior season • A unanimous all-state selection and the AP and Charlotte Observer Defensive Player of the Year as a junior • Posted 156 tackles, 14 sacks, 22 TFL and seven forced fumbles • Led Vance to state and regional championships and posted 6.5 tackles and 1.5 TFL to earn MVP of the state title game • A MaxPreps All-American, an ALL-USA North Carolina pick and an all-state selection as a sophomore • Also named AP and Observer Defensive Player of the Year • Led Vance to a regional championship • Tallied 162 tackles, eight sacks, 23 TFL, two INTs and four forced fumbles • Recorded 71 tackles, six sacks, 12 TFL and two forced fumbles as a freshman • Competed in basktball as a freshman and sophomore and track and field for three seasons • Coached by Glenwood Ferebee.

Son of Brian Echols and Astarlove Robinson • Father, Brian, was a three-sport legend in Bent Harbor, Mich., who went on to play football at Michigan State and then in the NFL with the 49ers and Jets • Mom, Astarlove, was a standout performer in women's basketball at Western Michigan • Was in the national rankings in rebounding averaging over nine rebounds per game • She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and three master's degrees in education, athletic administration and curriculum • Birthday is Jan. 20.
