UPDATES
Week 6: Adams logged 58 snaps in Illinois' loss to Nebraska on the road, 20-7. The guard allowed two QB pressures and drew a penalty. — JH
Week 5: A third straight game where the Illini guard struggled in pass protection, allowing four QB pressures in his team's blowout loss to Purdue 44-19. — JH
Week 4: A day against Florida Atlantic that Adams would like to forget — and soon. The guard was responsible for giving up three sacks and six overall pressures. He was also flagged once. After a strong start to the season Adams has really struggled in pass protection the last two weeks. His run-blocking was better than his pass blocking, but that wasn't a very high bar to clear. At least Adams walks away from Week 4 a winner as Illinois beat FAU, 23-17.
Week 3: In Illinois's 30-13 setback to Penn State, Adams suffered from the same poor pass-blocking affliction that plagued linemate Julian Pearl (though his run blocking wasn't discernly better). The guard allowed QB seven pressures total, including a sack, in what must have been a long day for QB Luke Altmyer. Week 3 was an about-face for Adams, who had been stellar in pass protection in Weeks 1 and 2. He also drew a penalty. — JH
Week 2: In the Illini's 34-23 loss to Kansas, Adams was again outstanding in pass protection. In his 42 pass-blocking attempts, he didn't allow a sack or a pressure on QB Luke Altmyer. — JH
Week 1: Adams played 53 snaps in Illinois' 30-28 win over Toledo to open the season. He had a terrific day pass-blocking, not allowing a sack or a pressure, and his run-blocking helped pave the way for 164 yards rushing by the offense. — JH
Week 0: DNP
