(Oct. 7) … Trailing 20-17, Georgia Tech recovered a fumble at its own 26 yard line with 26 seconds remaining in the game … After an incomplete pass, King completed a 30-yard pass to Malik Rutherford, got the team to the line of scrimmage to spike the ball and stop the clock, then hit Christian Leary for a 44-yard touchdown pass with one second left to give the Jackets the improbable victory … After throwing for 74 yards on the final drive, King finished with 151 passing yards to go along with 46 rushing yards and a touchdown in the win over Miami … King and Leary were honored as recipients of the Pop-Tarts “Crazy Good” Play of the Week award for their game-winning touchdown at Miami and received a large shipment of Pop-Tarts that they shared with their teammates … Highlighted by a career-high 150 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries, King amassed 354 yards of total offense (204 passing) and accounted for two scores (one passing) against Boston College (Oct. 21) … Turned in another memorable performance in Georgia Tech’s 46-42 win over No. 17 North Carolina with 287 passing yards, four touchdown passes and 90 rushing yards on just eight carries … Helped lead the Yellow Jackets back from four double-digit deficits in the win over UNC, including deficits of 35-24 and 42-32 in the fourth quarter … Fourth and final touchdown pass in the win over the Tar Heels was the 5-yard game-winner to TE Brett Seither with 4:28 to go in the game … Following his performance against UNC, King was named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week, the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week, the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week, a Manning Award Star of the Week and the ACC Quarterback of the Week … Accounted for 291 yards of offense (208 passing, 83 rushing) and three touchdowns (one passing, two rushing) in the next week’s 45-17 win at Virginia (Nov. 4) … Completed 23-of-30 passes (.767) in both wins over North Carolina and Virginia, which are tied for the second-highest completion percentages by a passer with at least 30 attempts in Georgia Tech history … Threw for two touchdowns at Clemson (Nov. 11) … Completed 16-of-20 passes for an ultra-efficient 138 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 82 yards and another score in bowl-clinching 31-22 win over Syracuse (Nov. 18) … .800 completion percentage against Syracuse was the fourth-highest in school history for a passer with at least 20 attempts … Closed the regular season by throwing for 158 yards and running for 24 yards and two touchdowns in eight-point loss to No. 1 Georgia … Accounted for 176 yards (87 passing, 89 rushing) and two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) in 30-17 win over UCF in Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl … Passing numbers in Gasparilla Bowl were muted by Georgia Tech calling 27-consecutive running plays to close the game and seal the victory.

2020-22 (Texas A&M): Has three seasons of eligibility after coming to Georgia Tech as a graduate transfer from Texas A&M … Played at Texas A&M for three seasons from 2020-22 … Started in the season-opening win over Sam Houston as a sophomore in 2022, finished with three touchdowns on 20-of-31 passing for 364 yards, the most by an Aggie in a season opener since 2009 … Threw for 253 yards on 25-of-46 passing and two scores at Alabama … Completed 17-of-32 passing attempts for 178 yards and one touchdown, while adding 19 yards on the ground at South Carolina … Recipient of A&M’s Offensive Attitude Award, Toughness Award, Aggie Strength & Conditioning Top Conditioned Athlete Award and Sophomore Academic Award in 2022 … Started the first two games of his freshman season in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury … Made his first career start and threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-33 passing in the 41-10 season-opening win over Kent State … Started the game at Colorado and exited in the first quarter due to injury … Earned the Offensive Aggie Award for strength & conditioning at the annual team banquet … Played in two games his first year at Texas A&M (retaining his year of eligibility – “Covid Year”) … Made his collegiate debut at No. 2 Alabama, throwing a 17-yard pass and leading the team with 43 rushing yards on five attempts late in the game … Connected with Max Wright on a 45-yard crossing route for his first career touchdown in the win at South Carolina … Teammates at Texas A&M with current Georgia Tech teammates Chase Lane and Andre White.

Attended Longview High School, where he was named an Under Armour All-American … Totaled 30 touchdowns on the season, 20 thru the air and 10 on the ground … Was 123-for-213 for 1,926 yards as a senior, rushed 55 times for 506 yards … Was a unanimous four-star recruit and a top-15 recruit from the state of Texas.

Earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in business management with a sports management minor in December 2022 … Majoring in history, techology and society at Georgia Tech.
