Derek Watt

FB, LB/ST · Wisconsin
A three-star linebacker recruit out of high school, Watt received offers from several Big Ten and MAC programs, but he chose to follow in his brother's footsteps, signing with Wisconsin a few months prior to JJ Watt hearing his name called in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He started on defense before moving to fullback in 2012, recording 12 catches for 150 yards. Watt was primarily a blocking back as a sophomore and junior (five offensive touches those two seasons), missing five games in 2014 due to a fractured foot. His role increased as a senior with career-highs rushing and receiving, displaying the hand-eye coordination and body control to be a consistent pass-catcher in the NFL.
