One of the nation’s top nose tackles, “The Godfather” finished with 39 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 3.0 sacks, and one forced fumble during his redshirt freshman season…Collected Second Team All-Big 12 accolades from the AP and the league’s coaches…Capped the fall as the Big 12’s third-rated interior defensive lineman (83.6) according to Pro Football Focus…Had three tackles and one sack in the win at Pitt…Totaled three stops and a TFL against Miami (Ohio)…Registered six tackles, two TFLs, and one sack versus Oklahoma…Had four tackles and a half-TFL at BYU…Finished with five stops versus Iowa State and four tackles against Baylor…Had four tackles with a sack in the win at Houston…Wrapped up the season with two stops, one TFL, and one forced fumble against Kansas…Entered the season as Preseason All-American and Preseason All-Big 12 selection.
