2023 – Junior Season

Started all 14 games at linebacker • Earned honorable mention All-ACC honors • Voted a team captain • Named the Don McCauley 'UNCommon' Award winner • Posted 103 tackles, including 70 solo stops, two sacks, five TFL, an INT, two PBU and a forced fumble • His 70 solo tackles ranked fifth in the Power 5 • Ranked fifth in the ACC in tackles • Recorded double-digit tackles in four games • Recorded a game-high 10 tackles against FAMU • Also had two TFL and a sack against the Rattlers • Had six tackles at App State and served as captain • Tallied 10 tackles at Georgia State • Posted 11 tackles, two hurries and a sack against Notre Dame • Added seven tackles against Virginia Tech • Registered a career-high 14 tackles and had a TFL and a hurry at Miami • Notched eight tackles at Duke • Posted four tackles, a breakup, a hurry and a half TFL against Pitt • Added four tackles at Virginia • Notched five tackles at Wake Forest • Recorded his first career forced fumble along with nine tackles against Georgia Tech • Made five tackles vs. NC State • Recorded five tackles in the ACC Championship game against Clemson • Made five stops and had an INT with a 40-yard return in the Holiday Bowl against Oregon.
2021 – True Freshman Season
Appeared in all 13 games at linebacker • Finished the season with 25 tackles, one TFL, one interception and one hurry • Had four tackles and one interception and returned it for 17 yards against Georgia State • Registered a season-high seven tackles and a hurry against Wake Forest • Had single-tackle games against Duke, Florida State, Wofford and NC State.

Son of Brian Echols and Astarlove Robinson • Father, Brian, was a three-sport legend in Bent Harbor, Mich., who went on to play football at Michigan State and then in the NFL with the 49ers and Jets • Mom, Astarlove, was a standout performer in women's basketball at Western Michigan • Was in the national rankings in rebounding averaging over nine rebounds per game • She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and three master's degrees in education, athletic administration and curriculum • Birthday is Jan. 20.
