UPDATES

Week 8: Jackson logged 78 snaps, was outstanding in pass protection and so-so in run blocking in Ohio State's big win over Penn State 2012. For the third consecutive game, the OG pitched a shutout in protecting Kyle McCord (286 yards passing), not allowing a sack or pressure in 39 passing plays. — JH

Week 7: Jackson had a good day protecting QB McCord, not allowing a sack or a pressure. Though Ohio State ran for 152 yards, Jackson again did not grade out especially well in his run blocking. — JH

Week 6: A solid performance by Jackson in Ohio State's 37-17 win over Maryland to stay unbeaten. The guard didn't allow a sack of or pressure on QB Kyle McCord. He had a mediocre day in run-blocking; Ohio State as a team rushed for only 62 yards. — JH

Week 5: DNP — bye week

Week 4: Jackson was in on 69 snaps in Ohio State's nailbiting road win over Notre Dame, 17-14. The big tackle had a solid game opening running lanes but struggled some in pass protection, allowing three pressures on Ohio State QB Kyle McCord. — JH

Week 3: Jackson played 50 sacks, his lowest number so far of the season, but his presence wasn't needed that much in Ohio State's 63-10 blowout of Western Kentucky. In 28 pass-blocking setups, Jackson didn't allow a QB pressure. — JH

Week 2: In Ohio State's 35-7 win over Youngstown State, Johnson played 66 snaps, allowing two quarterback pressures. Buckeye QBs threw for 359 yards on the day, but as in Week 1, the running game was so-so, amassing 123 yards, and Johnson's individual run-blocking reflected that average performance on the ground. — JH

Week 1: Jackson logged 70 snaps against Indiana in the Buckeyes' 23-3 win to open the 2023 campaign. The big tackle had a mostly successful day protecting Ohio State QB Kyle McCord, who threw for 239 yards. Jackson allowed just one pressure on 39 pass plays. He didn't have as good a day blocking for the run, as the Buckeyes struggled to consistently establish the ground game in the win. — JH
